Where do I start? I was in the automobile business for more than 20 years as a business owner of a national franchise, district manager for a national chain and got very burnt out so... I decided it was time for a major change. Next stop, mortgage brokerage in Florida. Got my license and opened a shop right when the market took a NOSE DIVE. As my accountant says "Rob your timing is always perfect" with his stupid smile. In my unbelievable timing, I also started a real estate investment company. You can guess how that went!
Soooo, it became time for a new adventure. I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grow up but I did know a few things from life's experiences. I did NOT want a store front with hours on it. Life is too short to be governed by the clock nor did I want the stress of all the overhead. I didn't want employees as then I would have again become the king of all baby sitters. So now what to do?
A little soul searching and it started coming to me. I've always enjoyed my computers. I was the first shop in my state to computerize even if it was a trash 80. They don't talk back, they rarely call in sick (althought I'm still a PC and we do get lots of viruses). I've always been the "go to" guy in my circle when it comes to computers. Not that I'm the brightest, by no means but, in a blind league, the one eyed man is king. Now to figure out how to capitalize on this niche of mine.
So the journey begins to find a way to feed my family, pay my bills and have a life through this wonderful invention of a computer. Man are there lots of folks out there that just sell crap! I mean the snake oil is as bad in this industry as all the others if not worse. You think that late night TV on how to get rich buying and selling real estate is bad.... I had know idea how bad this was until I got on a couple of mailing list for internet marketing. But the I found Howie.
This is a straight shooting guy. No bull or hype, just "here's how it is now go and do it" attitude. I have been "playing" around for almost a year and never got "off my butt" until now. I decided that I needed a LIVE event to get me out of my comfort zone. The computer is great but it can also be very isolating. So I became part of Howie's IM Remarkable group. Well in the first week, as you can see, I'm active and moving. Will this be an overnight success, I think not as anything worth while doing takes time and dedication but I have done it before and will again. I built my previous auto business to the #1 spot in my state and I'll be damned if I won't do the same with this business.
